WELCOME TO HIS LORDSHIP’S CAFÉ AND BAR |
|
|
Housed on the ground floor of the historic former Bell’s Motor Works building, His Lordship’s Café and Bar is a genuine European bar with the feel of a pub of yesteryear. Whether you want a pint of Murphy’s, a glass of chardonnay, or a hearty meal, the atmosphere and chirpy bar staff make His Lordship’s the obvious choice for your new local.
Open seven days a week for breakfast lunch and dinner, the menu is described as European/Kiwi cuisine with chefs preparing fare from the extensive menu. The food is fresh and bursting with flavour while still maintaining a very reasonable price bracket.
His Lordship’s is an historic name in Christchurch hospitality with the earliest reference being a wine and beer license granted to WH Messenger and His Lordship’s Larder in 1880. The license was granted on the condition that as little prominence as possible be given to the alcohol sales.
The Bell’s Motor Works building at 110 Lichfield St won a heritage award in 2005 for its sympathetic development.
Open 7 days from 9am to Late
